We operate a ‘challenge by choice’ policy which means that no-one is ever forced into taking part in an activity. There is always a role for everyone, whether is be operating safety ropes or being the team photographer. We will however encourage you to achieve your best and surprise yourself. The first time I ever took part in a high ropes challenge, though terrified at first, my feet didn’t touch the ground for the rest of the day. The sense of achievement was amazing. multi activity team challenges In addition to being great fun, multi activity team challenges are designed for problem solving, working under pressure and thinking outside the square. Each activity highlights a different aspect of teamwork, so much so that virtually all elements of high performance teamwork are covered in a day like this. How does the team agree on which strategy to use, who are the leaders and who has leadership potential? How does the team cope under pressure or with limited resources? How well do the team members understand one another? we're all in the same boat!
In my extensive experience of teambuilding there is no better activity or challenge that contains every aspect of high performance teamwork than yacht sailing. Working in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Sailing Academy, we depart from the Sunshine Coast or Moreton bay for an unforgettable team experience. For those who love competition we can even include some racing! From no experience whatsoever we aim to have the team sailing the yacht by the end of the day. Sailing tests both the individual and the team on leadership, clarity of communication, trust, interdependence of roles, goal setting, camaraderie, change management, getting out of your comfort zone - you name it - sailing has it.
